Another change has come about in the weather pattern in Rajasthan. According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, there are thunderstorms, rainfall, and hailstorm predictions for 17 districts today. There is a prediction of 20 to 50 mm of rain in these districts. Starting from morning, Bikaner and its neighboring regions witnessed the impact of the new weather pattern. Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, stated that the new weather pattern would impact the Bharatpur division of eastern Rajasthan by April 8 and there would be clear weather after April 9.
In the morning of Tuesday, Jaipur was shrouded by dense clouds with cold air currents. A mild chill is still being felt in the mornings and evenings in the second week of April. Weather experts say that the likelihood of intense heat and heatwaves is currently low this month.
On April 6th, the state experienced bright sunshine in the morning, but the weather suddenly changed around 2 p.m. Clouds covered Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Alwar, and Bharatpur, and light rain and drizzle occurred in several areas.
Due to the bright sunshine, the daytime temperature increased by 3 degrees Celsius. Bikaner recorded a maximum temperature of 34.5 degrees Celsius, while Chittorgarh recorded a high of 36.4 degrees Celsius.
Due to the six Western Disturbances that have been active in the last 20 days, the heat in the state has not increased significantly, which could impact the upcoming monsoon. According to weather experts, frequent rainfall has kept ground temperatures below normal, while ocean temperatures are slowly rising. There is a 60 to 80 percent chance of El Niño becoming active during July-August, which could lead to reduced monsoon rainfall.
Private agency Skymet will release its monsoon forecast today, April 7, while the Indian Meteorological Department may share official information by April 15.
