Recently, Google has come up with an amazing new Theft Protection feature for Android users. Through this feature, your data remains completely secure in case of device theft. When someone steals your phone, your device will automatically lock itself. These features of Google include Theft Detection Lock, Offline Device Lock, and Remote Lock.

The new feature started to comfortably roll out for users in the US. A few days ago, this feature was also brought into Brazil. This feature is expected to be released over the coming days for all country Android users. The feature will make its way to all devices above Android 10.

Android Theft Protection uses AI to detect whether the phone has been stolen. In case of any movement related to theft, it automatically locks up the screen so that the thieves may not easily access the data on your smartphone, thus keeping it safe.

If the thief tries to keep the stolen device disconnected for a longer period of time, then the Offline Device Lock will automatically lock the screen even when it's off from the grid. Then it will require a PIN to unlock again.

With the Remote Lock feature, you can lock your phone with another device, using only your phone number and a quick security challenge. According to Google, you are also able to find the phone through Find My Device using your Google account.

Furthermore, Google is making it publicly complicated to reset the device by complicating the Factory Reset Security of Android. The new upgrade makes it very complicated to reset the device. If anyone tries to reset the phone, he will have to fill in the credentials of the Google account.
