Google is introducing a new 'Purchases' tab in Gmail this festive season. That will showcase all your online purchases in one place. According to the company's blog post, this feature aims to make it easier for users to track their upcoming and past orders. There will be no need to search for receipts or shipment tracking in different emails.

This new tab will display all your purchases and delivery updates in a list. Importantly, packages that are due for delivery within the next 24 hours will appear at the top of your primary inbox. Google has also added a new Summary Card view, which will display your purchase-related emails and package updates in a more streamlined and organized way.

This feature will begin rolling out gradually on September 11th and will be available on both the Gmail web and mobile apps, but will be limited to personal Google accounts.

Additionally, Google has updated the Promotions tab. Users can now sort promotional emails by "Most Relevant." This means that information about the brands and senders you most want updates from will be readily available. Google has also added a "Nudges" feature, which will highlight upcoming deals and offers so users don't miss out. However, this new promotion-related feature will be available on the Gmail mobile app in the coming weeks.

This update will be very helpful for customers during the festive shopping season, as all purchase details and offers can now be managed in one place.
