Recently, the Air Force shot down a Chinese spy balloon at an altitude of over 55 thousand feet on the eastern front. According to ANI, sources from the defense say, "The Indian Air Force used Rafale fighter aircraft to shoot down a Chinese spy balloon a few months ago.".
The force used a balloon small in size for this. A balloon was sent into the air with some sort of payload and then shot down through an inventory missile at an altitude of over 55,000 feet.
Early last year, the US had shot down a Chinese spy balloon over the sea using a fifth-generation F-22 Raptor fighter jet. The Indian Air Force discussed ways to overcome the challenge posed by such balloons that fly at very high altitudes. The Indian Air Force had also approached the US Air Force over this issue last year.
