The Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser concept was exhibited at the Brno Motorcycle Show, which took place in the Czech Republic earlier this year. The concept was developed by the Czech designer Jan Herbeck, who also developed the recently revealed Jawa 730 Twin concept. The new concept features the same cruiser look with a modern design.
A limited amount of Jawa 1000 Sport Cruisers will be produced. The motorcycle features a 999cc liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine that was assembled in the Czech Republic. It develops up to 113 hp of power and delivers 95 Nm of torque. According to some media reports, the bike reaches the maximum speed of 215 km/h and weights around 240 kg.
According to various media reports, the bike displayed in Brno is the pre-production prototype of the new model. Some reports claim that the 1000 Sport Cruiser is a co-development between Jawa and the Chinese bike manufacturer Jedi. However, Jawa didn't confirm those reports.
According to media reports, this bike uses a double frame. This frame is largely similar to the Jawa 730 Twin, but not completely identical. This heavier sport cruiser bike uses a stronger version of the chassis to handle the more powerful engine. The bike features full Öhlins suspension at both ends.
It features dual rear shock absorbers and a USD fork at the front. Braking is handled by Brembo Stylemca calipers.
The company hasn't publicly announced a production number. Various reports suggest only 10 or 15 units will be made. However, it's certain that the 1000 Sport Cruiser will be produced in very limited numbers. It's expected to be priced at 62,000 euros (approximately Rs. 68.25 lakh).
