Xiaomi has announced the global release of the Xiaomi 17 series, although specific model details remain undisclosed. A teaser image indicates that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be available in green, with the standard Xiaomi 17 expected to launch alongside it. To promote the series, Xiaomi livestreamed a landing page and announced that buyers will receive a 24-month warranty, including free screen replacement within the first six months, and out-of-warranty repairs without labor charges during the warranty period.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, as is the standard Xiaomi 17. Both models will run on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and sport LTPO AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rates and 1.5K resolution.
The Ultra model will feature a 50 MP primary camera with a 1-inch sensor and optical image stabilization. It will also include a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL periscope telephoto lens, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP front camera supporting 4K video recording. The standard Xiaomi 17 will have a 50 MP Sony Light Fusion 950 lens with OIS, plus 50 MP ultra-wide and telephoto cameras, and a 50 MP front camera supporting 4K videos.
Regarding battery life, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will pack a 6000 mAh battery with 90W wired HyperCharge, 50W wireless, and 22.5W reverse wireless charging. The standard model features a 6330 mAh battery with 100W fast charging, 50W wireless, and 22.5W reverse wireless charging.
