Spain's world number two Alcaraz performed brilliantly with accuracy, power, and speed in the second round to beat Japanese player Nishioka 6-0, 6-1, 6-4 in just 81 minutes.

However, the Belarusian made a brilliant comeback from 2-5 down to defeat Manero 6-3, 7-5. Sabalenka will play Denmark's Clara Tauson in the third round.
